What a year it’s been!
2021 called for continued modifications to care for patients in the midst of a pandemic. As an organization, the Ohio Association of Rheumatology improved its offerings to advocate on behalf of its members and protect patient access to all appropriate treatments for rheumatic diseases. To that end, we extended an historic partnership with the Ohio State Medical Association to promote our policy objectives in Columbus. We delivered a great in-person annual conference, conducted several important meetings with legislators during a virtual advocacy day, and testified on a bill to limit non-medical switching. We also supported the expansion of telehealth which was recently enacted.
Next year will certainly demand vigilance on a personal level and an ongoing commitment to advocacy on behalf of our patients, practice, and profession. Join Us!
